Comparing FX Carb & Darkside Titan flex

Im aware that both of these models is exact same and FX 7.3 contains 15% more fiberglass to ensure its stiffness. I'm wondering which one have lot more stiffer flex- Darkside Titanium or FX Carbon? My local shops doesnt sell FX so I cant really just go out and compare them.
I'm looking for a pair that can handle high speed, wont chatter on ice much, and can ski switch too. I already have 171cm MN Pro and its not that fast, so its better used in the park.

none of those are gonna ski well switch. shure, they got a twintip, but the shape is made for going one direction. and i think line has the specs on thier site no?

I've skied switch on my friend's Darkside just fine before. The hills I usually ski at doesnt get lot of pow-pows, only man-made snow that turns into ice later on. If I wanted to spend all day in the park, I'll just pick up my Mike Nicks'. I already know about the specs about them, all I wanted to know which FX 7.3 Carbon or Darkside Titanium flex is more stiffer.
Thanks for not answering my question. :)

oh, ok. anyway, anything with titanium is gonna be alot stiffer than carbonfiber. it will also be heavier thou, so watch out.

So you think I should settle down for FX Carbon instead of Darkside? Is there a huge difference, I mean notice any changes on the performances of skis with 15% more fiberglass than other one?

^^ Wow, you're really an idiot. Did you read my posts? I stated that I already have MN Pro for park skis. I'm looking for a pair with twin-tipped design for going switch once in awhile, and can handle high speed carving. I dont think Fujatives would handle going down 50mph on ice any better than Darksides or even FX.

I've seen bunch of them selling for $150-200 for brand new ones. Lines lasts good and they have excellent warranty services. How cheap you can go with them?
Damned idiot. :)

yeah, theres a ton on ebay right now. and as for what one you should get, the 15% more fiberglass isnt gonna make much of a difference. its prolly set up to make the ski more torsionally stiffer, but if you want something that can handle balls out speed, get the titaniums. if you want something to rip carves, get something with carbon laminates. the titainum is stiffer and generally provides a more damp flex. (not as much pop). the carbon will lighten the ski, and give it a ton of pop, which will make it eat nice quick carves. it will not hanle speeds as well, because the more pop a ski has, the more likely it is to chater. now granted, there will not be a HUGE differnece between them, but it will be notacable. i dont know what skis have what in um, so i cant tell you what ones to get, but hopefully that can help you. also, have you looked at the Assains? i was checkin them out in the shop, very sweet. i would recomend them over the darkside/carving skis. they are wider, and have a larger twintip. because of the extra width, they will be a lot more stable than last years real skinny skis. if your plannin on doin high speed cruising, i would definatly recomend them over last years stuff. and if you have any more questions, feel free to msg me.

You're right, actually I'm thinking about picking up Darksides instead of the FX. Carbon is more forgiving on ice since I already skied on my buddy's Carbon Darksides before. I find heavy skis hella annoying. Assassins looks hella sweet, but sadly they're expensive right now and I'm buying a new house next month. I dont see why I should spend lot of money on a pair I wont use that often. Along with that I'm thinking about getting risers for my S912-Ti bindings to dampen up the vibrations, so that will help a lot too. So do you know where can I find a pair of risers online?

I know FX and Darksides isnt fully twin-tipped. I'm looking for a pair that can handle hip-dragging carves and be able to go switch sometimes when I feel like it.

You're an idiot because you didnt read my post before replying sounding like a moron. Lines has already proved me that they last long, and their customer services rocks. They even hooked me up a new pair of MN Pro after I broke Line's original 1260 model after warranty expired ages ago. Brand new $650 skis selling for $150-200; it's simply a good deal. Chances are you're a 15 years old kid who doesnt know shit how the market works, kiddo.

yeah, a riser on the binding would make them carve like grandma at thanksgiving. go to you local Salomon dealer. they prolly offer somethin for that model. again however, its a tradeoff between stability and handling. they wont take speeds quite as well.

i know youre eyeing those two lines, but i wouldnt doubt a pair of madtrix could out carve the lines. I havent riden the lines, but my madtrix carve as well as my race skis i had before them.

no no....i thought the FX's weren't twinned at all....i know the darksides are slightly (15mm i believe), but i thought the FX's were the skis line pressed for some racing company, and i didn't think they had twins

I've heard plenty of times people said Head makes tough skis, I havent had a chance to demo any of Head skis. The reason I'm going for Line's is cuz they already proved themselves to me and theres bunch of them of last year models going hella cheap.

yeah, and as nice as those heads ride, they couldnt out carve them. the lines have alot smaller radius.

Speed isnt that much importance because the state I'll be living in for college doesnt have great resorts in Southeastern region. They're like landfills so the trips down the hill is quite short. Stablity on the ice is my main concern. Both of my skis & snowboard chatter like nuts on the ice.
From what I read- Darksides and FX is exact same models, same tech specs, etc. The only difference between both of these is FX contains 15% more fiberglass & different graphics. I dont know why Line did that, I mean there's no difference between em, they should just slap in a bit more of fiberglass on Darksides rather than developing and marketing another model that doesnt sell much. So there's shitload of FXs going around hella cheap.
