Let your dad do his thing. He knows the risks, and it's his decision to make. I doubt you could stop him if it's something he wants to do.
I was 47 when I tried my first box, then unfortunately I tore my ACL when I tweeked my knee landing a jump (to avoid hitting a Snowboarder who crossed my path!!). Last winter I was bound and determined to take small jumps (hickups ) again and slide the small boxes, and no one was going to stop me haha! My son and some of his buddies encouraged me, and gave me useful tips on how to shift my wieght and slide properly. I plan to keep after it this season, maybe adding some new things to my small bag of tricks. I will use caution tho, and wear my brace, hopefully not exceeding my abilites. I'll never be a passive skier.
Just pray alot!:)
