Whats the difference between a sintered base and an extruded base?
I just bought the Liberty Lte, and it says the the Lte has a sintered base so I'm just wondering.
Thanks.

Sintered will hold wax better. Some extruded bases are more durable than some sintered types, but in general, sintered is better.

You will go faster on the sintered bases

extruded don't hold wax well and need to be waxed often. Sintered bases are very durable with some wax and tuning.

Ummm....sort of....
Extruded don't hold wax well, and will need to be waxed often in order to keep speed, but they are more durable than Sintered bases in general. Sintered bases need constant waxing in order to keep them fresh and durable.
And Rossi S4s have a sintered base.

Sintered. Generally any skis at 399 or more will be sintered.

This. Verbatum.
To add to that, a lot of park sticks with a focus on jibbing will have extruded bases only because they are typically more resiliant to abbrasion and damage.
Pipe skis, all mountain sticks, higher performing skis will almost always have a sintered base.
I've ridden both, and keep my bases waxed at least every other time I ride.
The difference is so little IMO, it's nearly negligable as long as your bases are kept in good shape.

A properly maintained sintered base is so much faster than an extruded base. It's really noticeable when it's super cold and super warm. And it is easier to repair.

Which make complete sense and the way I imagine it to be.
Just in my instances, for me, it wasn't a deal breaker if a ski came with a sintered or extruded base. I'm indifferent about it only because my gains felt minimal.
