I have a t2i and two lenses, need help with another

so I have a t2i with these two lenses:

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8

Rokinon Fish Eye

I need a more universal lens, something that zooms obviously but I want to keep as wide of an angle as I can. it would be nice if the price was around 700 or less...

any suggestions?

tamron 17-50 (non vc) is a great lens and you can get it new for around 330 on ebay! :D
