Accessories for a Canon 60D with 250$?

ive got a 32gb memory card

50mm 1.8

and a remote for long exposures






can anyone think of anyhting else i would need other than lenses? i have an 18-135 kit already

Im not sure im going to be using it for a lot of video, ive only used my friends DSLR's for video in the past and it was always on a tripod mostly


a steadycam would be great but theyre so expensive ill just make a DIY one

if you're doing timelapses/shooting skiing (or anything in very bright conditions) a ND filter might be a good idea.

Only ND... Don't get UV or Polarized it degrades your image quality.

in regards to the image itself, you're right. But for protecting the actual elements of the lens, I'd say they're pretty important

knowing how to film =/= being able to hold a camera so steady it looks like you're using a tripod

You say you're NOT going to be using it a lot for video? Then why is everybody yapping away about video?

Get a tripod. The best you can afford.

Or a flash, I recently got my first one and a whole new world is opening up to me. Look into Yongnuo flashes, great stuff.

Some ideas:
- a tripod
- a Samyang 8mm fish-eye lens
- save the money towards a good wide angle lens

You're going to want good audio and a stable image. If you don't already have a tripod I'd say save a little more and get a decent pair of sticks.

the ones off ebay are generic, and most of the times the batteries in them dont last long, or its put together shitty
