Banshee bungee DIY?

Yo guys, just joined the site. Stoked to be here. I was just wondering if any of you guys could possibly tell me if this stuff would work for a possible Banshee Bungee DIY.  I dont have a lot of cash right now (college student and a skier) so any help would be appreciated. I found this stuff on eBay and was wondering if it would hold up or even work. Thanks

not sure about that stuff, but you could probably get some heavy duty surgical tubing and braid that together with an old water skiing handle or something

surgical tubing is sweet and works all of about twice before it's stretched out and not sweet anymore. believe me, been there done that.

Join the Build-a-jib cult, there's a whole tutorial and discussion in there. The person who made one themselves used old bicycle tubes.

I was at a hardware store, and saw a big spool of bungee cord, and considered making my own. Hope it works out for you, good luck!

I've never used a bungie but it looks a lot like 3 black latex bands braided together.  100ft for 60 bucks. would probably do the trick.

why has no one commented on this? isn't surgical tubing about the only thing that it can be done with? what kind of rubber is a bungee banshee made with?

it works, but it doesn't have the same life as a banshee bungee. we made one and got about 3 sessions out of it before it was stretched out.

as for their bungees, i'm guessing it's some form of high density rubber.

This is like the same stuff that banshee bungees are made out of. Im ordering mine right now. Heres a couple links to sites that sell it.

I got a banshee bungee and it actually works great! Just gotta get used to it and how to set it up and it works swell

thinking about getting one for christmas, is it worth the money? Does anyone know about how fast you go on the 20ft and the 10ft one? Is their a big diffrence?

Glad to have you!! I know you can buy the banshee bungee cord by its self..... Try shock cord!! There are also businesses starting up that make cheaper urban buggies. You could also look into portable drop ins.
