Rossignol s5??

I searched but only found 1 review on them. Any one here rode or owned a pair ? Im considering this for my one ski quiver.

Im 5'6" 140lbs

ski in the east, mainly park. But when given the opprotunity i loovee to hit trees and pow any time i can. Im also taking a trip out west this year so id like something that can handle deeper snow. BUT it still has to be able to handle alot of rails and the icyness of the east.

My boss has them, he loves them, they rip up everything, crushes groomers, awesome in trees, still slays park and holds edge on ice (we live and ski in CT primarily...there's tons of ice). I think it's probably Rossi best "quiver of one" ski, no question. They're an awesome east coast ski.

He didn't seem too much trouble with the weight (and he has FKS 180s on them, so that's some added weight too). They're obviously not the lightest ski out there being 98 underfoot, but they're not the heaviest ski about 100 underfoot either.

Nice ski. It's the yellow ski Candide skied on in the Rastafaride movies. They started making it in 2006 I think. It was called the scratch steeze for a few years, then something else, then the S5. Reasonably stiff, camber makes them work in the park. They can be had regularly in the sell/trade forum for $150, and I picked up a pair for $80 in mint shape last spring, so they are pretty cheap for a nice ski. There is a pair for sale right now for $150 I saw a few days ago

I rode the Rossignol S5 Jib all of last season and loved it. Took it everywhere including park and powder as it was my only ski for most of the season and never had any problems with it. Very good durability too, which is always a concern of mine. Also never had an issue with it being too heavy, although I had pretty low end bindings that didn't way much.

I little different, but I ride s7s and absolutely love them. Float and ride the pow awesome, and I can rail gs turns back to the lift on them

2 years ago the s5 had camber last years was flat with minimal rocker now the ski is called the scimtar
