Anyone ever rid lib-tech ski? Any insite?

Im wondering about them, im looking at the jib NAS. I guess they make skis now..so any one ever ride these or lib-tech skis in general? Any help would be apreaciated..thanks.

I have not ridden them but I have heard the edge tech thing they got going on there is really bad for rails.

Friend rode them for like half a season, just wasn't a fan of them, and bought a pair of reno jibs instead

I demoed a set at a demo day thing. They did actually hold a decent edge on hardpack. Then I ran em through the park. Almost ate shit on a landing which I'm pretty sure was due to the edges. Then I hit a box. Slid about six inches. Caught the edge and ate shit. Immediately returned em. For some reason I think the magnatrac translates better on a snowboard. If your planning on grinding anything with em I wouldn't get em. But if your gettin the NAS for pow only I think they're doable but why even have the magnatrac for that?

The rep for my region is a huge dick. I had a deal with them for the upcoming season and decided I didn't want to ride them and promote a brand that calls their skis "narrow ass snowboards" and has little respect for skiing. I sent a long email to him saying I was going to go a different direction and that I want a more traditional ski, and he responded with "maybe you should google Jamie Pierre or Tim Dutton..."

ANYWAYS I have heard bad things about them for park. I mean, their JIB ski is 93 underfoot...

Im not a fan of them.

Quite stiff but the edges dont work as well as they do on snowboards (ive ridden gnu/lib boards and the nas skis). I also ride in the midwest so its mostly hardpark/ice and unless you ride the NAS shorter then your normal skis, they arent any better on hardpack (probably worse).

Ive been riding the freerides for 3 years now an i love the heck outa them, for the edge catch all you gota do is grind them down a little more then normal skis just in between the bindings then yer good, the magne-trac makes up for the duller edges.

I rode the 180s i think Nas freeride in 2010 and i gotta say they were so so much fun.
The ski on ice would edge anything and rip it easily. on rails you don't even notice the magna traction.Honestly one of the most poppy, responsive, and forgivable skis i have ever ridden.
I would buy either those or ON3P which i ride now. I gotta say there so close to being equal on fun level. You will love them. They take a little getting used to but theyre awesome.

yeah, had lib tech pipe NAS for 2 seasons... ripped pretty hard on them, magnetraction is a placebo i think, and they're pretty durable.

wouldn't go back to them though

I rode the jib nas for two seasons, and this thread has pretty much hit the nail on the head

their durability is so-so, they're stiff as crap, the magnetraction is a gimmick, and they definitely are not a "fun" ski to ride, i'd really describe them as more of a chore to ride

i ride halos now, and i'd never go back to those junkers

also, lib-tech is notoriously stingy with warranties

don't buy them
