Are these 4frnt skis too long?

I'm 5'8" 145lbs and i really want to get 4frnt clicks(2010 model) i can only find them in 177 at an affordable price though and i was wondering if that would be far too long for me? and if it is too long what ski size would you reccomend

I'm about 5'11 and have 177's and they're as high as I will go. I'd recommend 171s but I would demo 177s and see what you think. With that length they may not feel as playful.

that is definitely not too long for you, unless you are just starting to ski. I have 188 S7's and I'm the same height, granted they are rocketed and have a shorter effective edge, but I still think you would be able to handle a 177

this is true, i guess I don't have any park specific skis, but the ones I use in the park are 178. I guess I just think that short skis look really goofy

at 5'8 177 should be fine, If you center them you will need that size to get stability out of the park. Im 5'11 and ski all my park skis at 181. If I ski the 176-177 centered there is so little nose I cant engage turns well and they feel pretty unstable at speed. But demo them and you will know.

I'm still quite a beginner skiier though, i can barely do blacks... would you still recommend them? or should i get scott punishers in 170 instead?

thanks that what i thought, as i was using 167 non twin tips last year and i struggled with them at first. So i'm thinking 168s would be perfect for park. just wanted somebody to agree with me

Defently go for the 177 ones.

A good way of thinking when buying a pair of twintip skis is that they should be 10cm longer than regular skis, since there's no contact for the tips of the ski.

And if you came from 167cm skis with no twintip, then it's pretty obvious what you should have.

yeah but i was struggling with the 167s at first, and i want to try freestyle jumps n stuff so i want to be able to do 360s and stuff which would be easier with shorter skis so i'm thinking about 170s would be the max i would get.
