So instead of buying some new orange fks, i can get some older black fks 120 in new condition for under half the price. The problem is the brake on the 120s is only 80mm and i need it to be around 110. Bending them doesn't seem like the greatest choice. Is there any way i can send these into rossi to get a 115mm brake?
^ It is possible but not advisable, if you bend the brakes that much each arm will be 2.5cm shorter so the brakes will not function all that well. And Im sure you will come back and say its fine but really its not a great idea.
^ as I said is not advisable though, Look at the length of a normal non bent brake then take an inch off that length and think how much less effectve the brake will be. As I said its possible just not a great idea. Get the right width brakes and you dont have to worry about your skis running down the hill and hitting someone. If you hurt someone with a ski you will end up paying alot more then just getting the correct brakes in the first place.
I knew you would all disagree but thats your opion so lets leave it as that. Maybe look at bindings that work just as well but that you can change the brakes easily on, ie any other binding (pretty Much)
Oh, and the 78mm fks breaks I bent out to 130mm had more 'break arm length' Then the stock wide 110mm break that came with my P18s (from 2006-2007 season).
