What do you ski(park, all-mountain)? What are you looking for in a ski? How tall/how much do you weigh? I'm looking at the ar7's also. I want a lightweight all-mountain ski that rips in the park. My friend is sponsored by atomic, and he rode this year's punx all last year and loved them. They were super playful, but he was almost 100% park. I'll probably end up getting the line chronics because even though they aren't lightweight, they are a great all-mountain ski and they still kill it in the park.
Im 5' 10" 140 and Im really into park and screwing around but I live like right in Colorado were pow is always happening, so Im questioning if I should look more into pow accessable sticks. I rode the chronics pretty ill sticks man.
Definitely would go with the Armadas, especially if you want to take advantage of that Colorado POW. Much more versatile ski that will undoubtedly handle the park.
ehem... same post different thread... cuz i'm lazy
have some 2010 atomic punx(red ones) and they've held up nicely after a season and a hard summer. they are super playful but stable when they need to be.
i imagine the punx as being the quintestential symmetrical park ski.
the one caveot i have with them is that they suck all mountian, like really suck, like... my afterbangs were better all mountian than the punx, but i think that can be attributed to the fact that the punx are so light and lively and just get pushed around everywhere other than the park
My friend went through 2 pairs of Punx in a season; durability seemed to be a major issue. Huge edge cracks, where the edge folded out from rails, and one where the top sheet lifted off from the base on one skis for about 20 cms under the binding...
