I hate when people who are completely uninterested in sports pretend to know about sports and talk to you about them at the bar, while you're just trying to have a drink and watch the game.

Example from tonight while watching the Tigers game:

Girl: OMG, we were doing so much better when Verlander was in
Me and friend: Uhh, what? Verlander gave up 3 runs.
Girl: Yeah, but Verlander is the best pitcher. They should keep him in.
Me and friend: Meh, everyone has good and bad nights, we'll get them in the next game.

A little bit later...

Girl: Who is that guy? They keep showing his face on camera.
Me and friend: ....that's Verlander. *facepalm*

A bit exaggerated, but yes, she was that stupid.
