Bad night?

Situation: first visit home from college, home alone for 3-4 days.

So, my mom let my buy some food so i bought bacon and hot dogs to grill up some bacon dogs. Sounds good, right? Well, the grill wouldn't ignite after like 5-10 minutes. So like any herpderp would do, i turned on the gas and tried the matchstick manual light...well, the grill shot 4 feet of flames onto my entire torso and some of my face, singe-ing my eyelashes, a little bit of my beard, and i have essentially no arm hair.

Also, I have an almost second degree burn on my arm and don't have anything for it...suggestions?

Great first day home or what?

well i actually just got off the phone with my dad (physiatrist) so he told me what medications to take and shit. unless it blisters i'm all good? still hurts like a fucking bitch though.

um google 2nd degree burn treatment.


But Dr. NS believes that you should rub a lemon salt paste onto the affected area untill all the dead skin is exfoliated off. then wipe the affected area with rubbiing alcohol soaked cotton ball. Finally, rub black(only black will work) shoe polish on the affected area and then buff it out. This routine will fix you up in no time.

hmmmm...sounds tempting.

but PJS i know exactly what you mean hahaha. my dad's got me on a high does of celebrex and tylenol, both of which are anti inflamatories. i just ran out to get some spray stuff that stung like a motherfucker. top gear and ns are taking my mind off the pain haha

haha i swear to god i did exactly what it said to do...but i'm pretty positive the gas from my many attempts before had not dissapated. hence why i said herpderp haha

if you live in America, dont go to the hospital. you will have to pay for the cream with that arm. just go to the drugstore, buy some aloe, and slather that shit up. then all you can do is wait for it to heal.

If you say you have a 2nd degree burn, you would have blisters.

heres how it is:

1st-basically sunburn. red and iritated.

2nd-blisters, redness, and iritation.

3rd-chared, black, no skin, torn up (grossness)

never said i had one, i had a borderline first-second degree, but it was still first degree. i've had a few minor burns and this one was a shitload worse.

however, i took the bear grylls approach and pissed on the burn. it's 100% better.

If it's only "maybe" a second degree burn, just put Aloe Vera and Vitamin E on it (E after the Aloe dries) and you'll be fine.

seriously we have this sketch old grill that doesnt have a starter and i have been lighting that thing since i was like 10  with matches no issue. What did you leave the gas on when you went to go get the matches?

Also people telling him to go the hospital have you ever actually been around an open flame? you can pass your finger through a candle flame at not a very fast speed and not even have it irritated. If you are engulfed in a ball of propane fire worst thing is lose hair and some minor burns. Did you ever go camping as a child?
