Advice on trying to get my sister skiing! (Girls help me)

So I have skiied park for like 4 years and I think I'm good enough to learn alot of stuff to my sister.
I tought her frontflips this summer.
At first she didn't like it, but as she landed them she loved it. But then she got hurt trying a frontflip, and now she won't try again.
I have talked about learning her some tricks on skis, and now she seems a little interested again.

But how do I actually get her with me to the mountain and get her interessted?
Any girls in here that wanna tell me how they started skiing, how they got interested and how they progressed etc.?
Because she just needs abit of inspiration. I just wan't her to try it because she doesn't do ant sports, and she doesn't know what she is missing.

sorry it had to be done, just show her some video of a chick skiing, be like "yo doesnt this look fun?" take her into the park one day, show her a little, get her to slide a box, and she should fall in love with it. Or if youre friends with any girls who are sick at park, have them take her and show her.

Yeah good idea, problem is there is like 3 girl skiiers under 14 at my mountain... But I kinda know them a little, so I'll probably get them to show her something and ski with her ;D

Tell it would be easy as hell to go pro, so she should do it just for the fame. Once interested se will realize she loves it.

It is actually pretty easy to go pro if you are a girl, atleast get some sponsors. If I where a girl I'd be pro!

Even i could get a ski sponsor as a girl, and i snowboard. Lols. But op just take her out one day, my 9 year old cousin ( girl ) loved it

If you have a girl that is older and skis good, little girls look up to older girls. So try to get her to help you out and inspire her. Possible new GF?

I first got into park skiing because I saw the guys doing it at my mountain and it made me want to try... i also watched alot of edits made by pro girls and saw how much fun they were having. If I were you I would definately try and find her another girl to go up with her because we always like things better when were not the only ones doing it. I would show her some of keri hermans stuff and kaya turski and ashley battersby because they always look like they have so much fun when they ski. We need more girls in this sport!  I used to feel intimidated in the park because i wasnt very good so if she feels the same way I would take her when there arent a lot of people there.. Good luck!

I started skiing when I was real little, say 4 years old, with my dad and brother. So skiing was just what I did, but as for park I'm from OHIO so there isn't really any real skiing. Park was a real big scene and my brother was into it so I started. Also the only other kids at the resort (all boys) my age did park so I just went along and learned stuff from them and my brother. Ended up being the first girl ever to do our hills Big Air Comp.

so my advice; just have your sister tag along behind you

Tell her that if she gets started now, she'll be amazing when she gets to be our age. Show her that she's going to be one of the only girls in the park, and that's ok because she's going to show up anyone her own age. Definately get people encouraging her, if she's getting good feed back she's more likely to keep skiing. Also, you said she was afraid to try again because she got hurt, this is all part of it. Sure it's going to hurt for a while after you make a mistake, but the important part is to keep doing it because the pain only lasts for a little while.

i started skiing when i was around 4. when i was 10 i got really badley injured from a freak accident and i was terrified of skiing and had quit for four years. i started watching girl edits, and then realized that if i hadnt have quit  i would have been reallly amazing. so ever since then ive been skiing its been about five years and i'm better now and i'm absolutlley in love with it.

i had a similar accident, when i was 11 i broke my nose trying a double front flip. i still have trouble with flips, but you just have to convince her that she can do it, its really all in her head. so tell her that its super fun and she can get famous and win money if she keeps at it. tell her all the benefits of skiing and show her some girl edits!
