Wireless mic for HDSLR

Hey guys I'm looking to get better audio to accompany my filming.  Filming hunting and fishing.  I'm going to get a wireless mic because I basically need just audio of a person speaking.  What is a good mic that is $500 or less that would be compatible with my Nikon D7000?  I'm audio retarded so if you know of a good source of info that I could look at that would be helpful also.

you are NOT going to want to record straight to your camera, it will sound like shit. Look at the audio threads (there are several on the first couple of pages) and you'll learn what you're going to need. But I do have to ask, when you say wireless microphone, do you want a handheld microphone or a hidden one?

so you'll want a wireless lav system. I can recommend 2, the Sennheiser G3 set or Sony UWP setup. Both are pricy, and you're going to need to throw in an external recorder too because your onboard audio is shit(the dr100 is $275 used, factor that into your budget)
