Being tall/ski length question!!

Well, im 5'11 and i ride 175 JJ's i find them too small. The 185 is perfect for me. Btw im 164 lbs. Its all personnal preference, but i like my powder ski to be longer, like 10cm more than my park ski.

Depends on what style of skiing you're going to be doing.

If you're looking to go fast, and charge off cliffs and stuff, go longer. If you're looking to just float and play around in the snow, you can go shorter.

I'm 6'2", 170lbs, and I'm getting a 194 pow ski. Mostly for big mountain skiing, but I'll be using it on the days where I ski powder in some open meadows.

I'm 6'1" and 185-190. The opus is totally fine for me. Now I get that your taller and lighter but consider this....the early rise on the opus is far less dramatic than most pow skis. This is a fact. I'm not jus talkin out my ass here. Look into it. Therefore the actual running surface on the opus is damn near the same as a 190 length pow ski with more dramatic rocker. So IMO you should be fine. There is also more effective edge on the opus compared to alot of pow skis so turning as well will be about the same as most 190 pow skis. The only issue I see is that extra length you would get for bombin big cliffs. Honestly though if you can't land on a 185 then you got zero business droppin somethin that big anyway. If your just hittin average drops and such the opus will be no problem.

Definitely run a bit bigger than normal with a rockered ski. I would say since your so tall, go with the AK JJ from Armada. It comes in a 195 and it rips.

this so hard. You want something with a solid wide platform, and plenty of length since you are so tall, but you also want something that isn't too stiff since you're so skinny. 191 caylor light would be a super rad ski for you if you want a medium flex pow ski.

If you want a medium-stiff pow ski, go 191 caylor regular flex. I'm a skinny fuck (6'0. 155 lbs) and I can handle them just fine. PM me if you want some more details or if you have specific questions

Im guessing from the lengths of the 2 skis your looking at you may be looking at the salomon Rocker 2. If you are I would personly go with the 192 if you want stability in the steeps and the 184 if you want a playfull ski. Im 5'11 170lbs and I had the 184 rocker 2 last year. Its good to mess around in powder on, but at speed on steep terain I definatly prefer the 192 size with the added stability of teh longer length and added camber.

But best bet is get ot there and demo the skis then you know for sure.

what length of ski you should ride depends almost solely on weight, skiing ability, and preference. your height has almost nothing to do with the equation. for skiers that don't ski technically well or are still learning weight makes a huge difference because it changes how the ski flexes. so what you need to ask yourself is how do you ski? do you ski very well technically? do you like to make fast large turn? do you like to have a ski that will kick your ass when your not on it? if you answered yes to these questions then a 185 might not be enough. if you like a softer ski and your riding style is more playful than a 185 opus is a pretty perfect ski. forget about your height, the only difference that will make is how the ski looks when your holding it next to yourself in lift lines.
