Jib terminology (en français)

Okay, here`s the deal: I have to give a presentation on newschool skiing (don`t ask). BUT I`m doing it in French. The problem is I don`t know all of the vocabulary Francophones use to describe jibbing rails etc.

Can someone help me out with the expressions/words used for:
sliding a rail
grinds
down-kink
switch on/off
disaster
nosepress
the different types of features (e.g. boxes, c-rails, s-rails, coasters, etc.)

I think you get the idea. Any help would be appreciated.

Well at my hill (stoneham), for everything you said in your list we say it in english but with the québécois accent, but if you just say it with an american accent anyone will understand you no prob. The same goes for cork, bio, d-spin, flatspins... we don't change the names.

Ain't that the truth Bristol. The ironic thing is that everyone 'cept from CanadianSkiGod is a resident of the U.S. with mostly irrelevant comments to question. I think they just like to see themselves type...

The fact of the matter remains that I've overheard the pertinent terms at both Tremblant and Mont Avila but forgot them unfortunately.

Change topics? School? Dude, this is a presentation to industry insiders, in their language, using terms THEY already know. I would have liked to have known them prior to the meeting so I didn't have to waste time establishing a vocabulary with the board. It's more professional.

Forget I asked. I've got a workaround backup anyway.

actually, most of the terms we use are either english or french slang, like not real french at all. for a 540, c'est 'un cinq' and if we want to smoke up after, we say ' je me gele' but hey, im bilingual and more on the english side...

What the hell I gave you the answer. Everything's the same. Except, I had forgotten rotations: 180= 'cent quatre-vingt' or 'one',
360= 'trois' or 'trois cent soixante'
540= 'cinq' or 'cinq-quarente' ou 'cinq cent-quarente'
720= 'sept' and so one and so on, just say the first number in french.

if you really want them in french are you not affraid of looking gay when saying them (cause in french it definitaly sounds gay), here's what you need to know:
sliding a rail: glissé sur une rampe
boxes: boite en C, boite en S etc etc
downkink: descendante brisée
nosepress: pression du nez
disaster: désastre
