Anyone else excited for this to come out? I just downloaded the demo and figured I would make a thread. I played the shit out of Forza 3 and this one will hopefully be even better.

in queen street (toronto) they have a store dedicated entirely to demoing xbox games, i tried it and it was really fun :) not a huge difference from the last forza games ive played

Seems like all they did is make moderate changes to Forza 3, but haven't tried the demo yet so not sure buts thats what i've heard from my friend who is super close to 100%ing forza 3. The graphics are totally nuts

There wasn't much to improve upon besides the graphics, imo. That, and maybe more track selection, is all I could hope for.

Just played the demo, the time trial is cool, other than that have yet to notice a difference other than graphics and maybe a little bit of the physics of the game.

What wheel do you have? I have the standard Microsoft one right now, but holy shit the new Fanatec Forza CSR wheel looks fucking epic. Too bad it's probably going to cost a few hundred bucks.

Ffffuuuu I just looked it up and it's 250 for the wheel, not including pedals. Looks like the shitty Microsoft wheel will have to do.

I had the microsoft one as well, but have been lusting over a Fanatec wheel for so long. I just can't get myself to drop the money on one. Maybe Forza 4 will be that deciding factor.

Of course once you buy the nice wheel, you need to have a place to mount it.

Definitely cheaper than the Fanatec version, but still far from cheap.

my girlfriends brother made his own seat/mount actually.
he went to a junkyard and bought a old racing seat and the rail system it was mounted on for $40 and then spent another $20 on wood for the frame. it looks a little sketchy, but works perfectly. and it has a monitor mounted on it for ultimate graphic capability. haha

before you ask for pictures...i can't provide them. :-/ he's off at school at OSU and took his wheel with him.

From what I've heard, it's more or less an update to forza 3 with more tracks and newer cars. And that's awesome, because that's really all it needs.


Just the top gear additions make it tempting...but I only bought forza 3 a few months ago, so I'm gonna hold off for a bit.

Fanatec CSR Elite wheel with Fanatec Clubsport pedals. Should only set you back about $500...

But seriously, the Microsoft wheel works pretty well and is decently cheap.

yeah this, unless you plan on being a pro XBOX racer. check ebay, you can normally snag them for a pretty great price.


and Papa you should turn off all the assists and start drifting that R32...that's when forza gets real fun. :)

Couldn't really tell shit by the demo. Just got an xbox. Used to play a lot of gt3 and 4 on my ps2 though.

Anybody else pick this up today? I am loving it so far. The career mode seems to flow much smoother than in Forza 3, and they seem to be more generous with the credits. The cars look great and sound amazing. I've finished 12 races so far and I'm currently rocking the Audi RS4. Oh, another thing I really like is when you get the prize cars for leveling up, they let you choose from like 6 different cars.

There's also lots of old muscle cars which is awesome and I see myself making lots of project Mustangs, Camaros, and Chevelles for drift and drag.

I'm gonna go ahead and say this is the best racing game I've ever played. Now the Tigers just need to hurry up and win so I can get back to playing it haha.

Yeah there's a bunch. I'm in class right now, but off the top of my head there's the DB5, DB9 (maybe), Rapide, DBS, One-77, and some of the racing DBR-9s. Possibly more, I can't remember.

Rewind is considered an assist now, so you can turn it off and get extra credits in career mode. I think it's a lot more fun without rewind mode because you actually have to be careful/race clean on longer races or else you could blow it all and have to start over.

The game is out. It came out on Tuesday, and it's fucking amazing.

Few questions below for those who are hopefully enjoying the game as much as I am.

No collectors edition, too expensive :/

For some reason my favorite car so far is the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss, no idea why

only assist on is the damage one, because i dont like to spend money on repairs haha

and my driver level is 16
