What are claim threads?

well, mostly they consist of statements where people 'claim' they have done something incredible

oooh, that would be people claiming a spot on the first page of what they think will be an epic thread. unfortunately, 37/50 posting epic thread doesnt make a thread all that great.

nah, that would be people calling out users for making grandiose claims.
For instance, if I said "I just destroyed Jon Olsson in a wicked kickboxing match. Yeah, we're pretty good friends." the proper quoted response from you would be "claim."
