Ok so I purchased some ARG's I have three pairs of bindings two of them being FKS 140s with max break width of 115 or right around there so obviously not going to work. I also have a pair of rossi freeski bindings. I believe they are the 120 break width. So my question is what do I do ? I really don't want to buy new bindings and I also don't want to go without breaks. I know I can't do anything about the FKS right? However is there anyway on the Rossi Freeskis to attach 140 breaks? Thanks.
Time to bend some brake arms to the necessary width if you don't want to ride without brakes. Search on here, or on TGR for tutorials, or if you don't feel competent enough to do it yourself, check with your local shop. Some shops will and some won't, but maybe another person around your area could help you out?
However, people have had better luck getting the bindings mounted, and then bending the brakes to the necessary width. This way, you are not disassembling your FKS bindings, and potentially running into problems with re-assembly.
The largest brakes that Rossignol sells are the 115mm brakes for the FKS bindings, and the 120mm brakes for the Axial2/Axial Race bindings.
Either way you look at it, you'll have to bend brakes or run them without brakes.
There are rumors floating around the internet of wider brakes being available for the FKS bindings at some point, but who know if or when they will actually come out, and how much they would cost.
