Hash tags are becoming popular on facebook because of the amount of people that have their twitter accounts feeding into facebook. If there is a little birdy next to their post, it came from twitter so don't be mad. If there is no birdy, they saw someone influential post from twitter and thought it is what the cool kids are doing so they did it too.

I don't think it's that awful considering how everyone here uses /claim /rant and so forth.
