I have to opportunity to pick up a tamron 17-50 VC canon mount for pretty cheap on craigslist. what do these usually go for used? i know it is the VC but i think i can get it for really cheap.

the vcs are like 600 new so maybe like 400-500? if you cant get it for less than 300, bail. the nonvc versions are 300 bucks on ebay.

I can get it for about $390 and i was thinking that i could sell it, buy the non-vc and make some money to put towards something else

Or just buy a nonvc for like 350 and save yourself a bunch of time? no one wants the vc ones anyway

the non VC is sharper and has better colour imo. Unless this craigslist deal is significantly cheap I say look for a Non VC.
