Whats up NS? A couple of years ago i bought a saga suit from a member names Powforbreakfast over ns. It was my first transaction, super smooth btw. Through our transaction i found out he was starting to produce his own skis. For the past couple of years i have been asking him when i will be able to see a final product, and today i found that skis have been produced and are ready to order.

this year hes coming out with two skis i believe,

Nature series: a pow ski with 38 cm rocker, loaded flat camber (flat camber? what!) 148-117-148, soft-medium flex! They are soooo sick.

And the nurture series which i beleive is a fully cambered park ski.


He has been working on these skis almost alone for the past few years, testing prototypes and buying the best materials. I'm sure these skis are going to rip and im so stoked to get on pair, and im super interested to find out more about the flat camber.

they're as real as it gets, all bamboo core for a super sturdy and durable ski! and i messed up on the park skis. Flex on the park skis is a true medium flex, comparable to somewhere between the alpha 1's and the ar7's, but with a sharp progression of soft to stiff in the rocker sections of the ski. so theyre not a traditional cambered ski as i said.

and 400 for park skis, 500 for powder

Hey guys! Powforbreakfast. here, and yup, this project has been what I slave to the last several years. Our nurture series, our park ski at 90 underfoot, also has progressive rocker with 6 mils of camber underfoot.

None that can be released. We are trying to patent an idea we implemented on our powder skis and can't quite show anything to the public yet. I sure can post the graphics though! Hold tight.

Thanks man! Don't go sneaking around my house now that you know what the bedroom looks like. When my room mates get back I'll take a video for a live flex profile on our park ski.

these skis look really legit, and im definately keeping them in mind for this coming season knowing that im gonna need new park sticks soon. however, im not a huge fan of the name. like mentioned above, it kinda makes the skis sound like fake or something idk... im just not a huge fan. just my 2 cents

more details on the park skis from pow,
"1. nylon topsheet, no PBT. Softer than most topsheets and cuts rather than chips.
2. high quality 19 oz. glass, 2 layers above core and 1 below. The lighter-ounce glass is typically higher quality than the 22 ounce standard and allows more durability on the top of the core where it's needed most.
3. Vertically laminated bamboo. Renewable, strong, flexible, and light.
4. bonding intermediates between every layer of glass/metal/sidewall. No delams!
5. 1.7 mm x 2.5 mm edges - Some of the thickest available
6. hand-made die-cut base graphics
7. One of the most aggressive rocker profiles you'll find out of any park ski makes it killer in the PNW and can blow through crud just as well as buttering off of a kicker.
8. 3/4 edge wrap reduces weight in tips
9. directional sidewall profiling (minuscule difference between left and right sidewalls of each ski) provides better turn initiation on your inside foot
10. 1/2 of our park skis have graphics without a white backwash so you can see through to the cane of the bamboo through all the ink and fiberglass."

Can't please everyone, but the feedback is greatly appreciated! Inspiration from the name came from a flood of ideas that were incorporated into the skis from the very start, playing from both construction techniques and physical uniqueness of a few of the materials used to make the skis. The capital portion of the word, "ARTificial." is supposed to be a pun on the artistic nature of how we engineered the skis and the nature of the artwork, a theme which we will strongly adhere to in this and following years. The first several pairs that were built used an aerospace grade carbon fiber / kevlar / basalt reinforcement layer which worked really well, but we are omitting the use of it for production this year based on its price. The use of such a material and it's success had a significant impact on the development of the name, seeing as it's largely a man-processed material and quite unique. Expect a return of it to fulfill the name in coming years.

Gonna be honest here, I can see these following in ON3P's footsteps.  Small company making absolutely kick ass skis that are different enough to appeal to a lot of NSers.  I am very interested.  It would be so sick to see NS 5 years from now where a kid makes a "What ski?" thread and everyone recommends these.

Nature series are sold out already from what I had initially. I have a few people reserved on the next few pairs going through the press and there might be 1 or 2 left over so be sure to check in regularly.
