I know of the place to skiers right on walking boss but I'm just wondering if anybody knows some other spots, because frankly their marked glades leave things to be desired. Thanks guys
i only skied loon once last year but i used to have a pass there and wouldnt going out on the skiers right of walking boss take you completely out of bounds? where does it take you to because i've had a bad experience going out resort bounds just wondering if it takes you back to a marked trail
i got a good one for ya. go on upper walking boss and about 1/3 of the way down there is a tiny bend to the right. go to the left side of the trail BEFORE the bend. and follow the side of the trail. there will be a red pad with a snowmaker on the other side. right before the pad is a small opening. and there ya go. there are some tight steep narrow trees in there with a rock or two to jump off of. its a really fun place to go and explore
Yea Ive learned that from some time in thompsons brook at wildcat there's a point where you ski down a frozen creek and if there isn't fresh snow your tryin to make tight turns on sheer ice and it's bad
off right of walking boss if you take the right track can take you way out to black mountain- kinda a secretive spot- takes about 20 minutes to get to the beginning and involves a hike towards the end- you gotta get someone who knows what theyre doing though cause there are a ton of trails once youre in there and you can get really lost- my friends and i got lost for like 2 hours once and wound up on the creek down below, but we went back in and had a sick time- you need tons of snow too- also when you go onto sunset theres a cut in on the right that you can take- once you go in youll see a huge rock and if you take off your skis and hike to the right around it you can find some sick stuff, most people go left and miss it- to the far right of sunset theres a sick spot too but they actually made that into a trail so its not as nice- another one is off of haulback, you can just jump in and go- lastly they opened up lower walking boss woods those are really nice too
