I cant decide if I should get the Line Chronics, or if I should get the Armada Ar7's. Im lookin for some sweet all mountain sticks but the Armadas lack in pizaz... I love the Chronics art. But the real question is which one is gonna last, and please me the most.. (thats what she said haha jk) any opinionated riders out there?
If you just compare the AR7 to Chronic...I would pick the AR7. Line hasn't really updated the Chronic much and it is probably being phased out in the future.
For Line, I would take a look at the Afterbang or Blend. The Afterbang is the better choice if you are skiing mainly park/urban(skate-deck topsheet is bomber); but if you want a versatile ski to do everything (even pow) go with the 100mm Blend.
as far as durability it seems like the chronics are bombproof. ive never skied them but a guy i know has wrecked like 8 pairs of skis a year, and his backup skis are chronics that he skied hard for a year, nothing has actually been wrong with them he just moved onto other skis. my 2 cents
in general, Armadas are built light, and LINEs are more heavy duty. There are always exceptions though, because my friend has thrashed his AR5s for three winters now and still riding them.
Both brands are still going to be more durable than others anyway though.
The Ar7's are gonna be a better park ski due to the weight, flex, and skinnier underfoot where as the Chronics are gonna be a better more durable all mountain ski that can handle more conditions. I think the Chronics are more versitile . Theyre the skis im gonna be reppin this winter.
