backflips

ok. I have been freestyle skiing for a year. This will be my second season. I have done a lot of rails and spins but now im ready for a backflip. Anyone have any advice or tips or anything? I can do them on tramps...is it the same or is it like a ganier?

it seems like it would be easier than a 3, but there is always that little bit of uncertainty because you will actually be going upside down and can snap your neck right in half if you really suck

don't use your arms to huck yourself back, it looks like you're having a seisure. If you have to get a faster rotation, just bend your knees back while you're in the air

Backflips aren't hard... it took me 2 tries to stick my 1st... you just have to commit and spot your landing

imagine ur on ur tramp and ur gonna keep looking back and just use ur body, and if u under rotated then bedn ur knees, and if u over rotate then sucks to be u man....if u can do them really easiy on thr tramo, then u can prob do them on skis, its all about commitment

If you can do them on a tramp comfortably, then you will be able to do them on snow. Once you pop off the jump bring your knees up and your arms up towards your head and look back, but not all the way. Just enough so that you are in a somewhat locked position for the invert part. Don't listen to that shit about not moving your arms b/c you can work on style once you are comfortable with the trick. Who cares what it looks like the first time you do it. Make sure you comit and do not go into it until you know you will follow through. The tramp will help with knowing where you are, trust me.

I can wake up and first trick on a tramp do a backflip and land it perfect. It's so easy. Are backflips on skis like gainers though. I can gainer on tramps but i never leand em?

i can do backs on a tramp and gainers on a divnig board like nothing, and just to get a feel, i did a backflip on my trampoline with my old skiboards that were 99's, and the first time i completely underrotated but the second time i landed fine. there's no way i could bounce high enough on my tramp with skis on to do a backflip, i need a ton more air time. i definitely think i can do it on a jump, seeing as how it kicks you sligtly backwards anyways. i might try it this sseason, but i dont know if i have the balls
