So NS, I am about 5'7.5-5'8, 145 lbs. In the park I mostly jib on rails and small jumps, (nothing over 20ft in the park.) Outside the park I like to charge down groomers and do some real skiing and what not. I am looking at getting 174cm (but actually 176 b/c its k2) Recoils. Will this be too long for more tech jib stuff? They are about an inch above my head, and I am still growing. +K for advice.
They will be great for you, there fairly soft so you should not have to many problems. They will be much better out of the park then a shorter ski, and you will like the added stability in the park once you get used to them.
I too ride mostly rails and I usually ride skis that are a bit over my head. I've never really had a problem with the length, and if yours are only an inch above your head, you should be totally fine! Happy jibbing!
