Fall Heartache

As I sit here watching ski edits and looking at new gear online, all I can think of is how much I miss skiing. During the winter I feel like I take skiing for granted; after the first couple weeks it just becomes a normal thing. Obviously I still find it fun, but it isn't magical. Nothing compares to the first run after months of waiting. However, this year, I'm making a resolution; I will remind myself everyday of how lucky I am to be able to ski. While on the mountain, nothing else matters. After dealing with all the bullshit in life, skiing keeps me sane. The season better come soon because I need it.

So what are you most pumped about? Learning new tricks? Riding with friends? Making edits?

I'm just pumped to finally forget about life, even though it may only be for a few hours.

Agreed, I as a person am actually happier during ski season. My grades go up, and Im an overall better person to be around. Ive got some new gear, and have some sick trips planned. To get you all stoked: just some randon pow shots!

I remember last year the first time back on skis was less than an inch of icy crust that had started melting in to slush, so we were pretty much skiing on the grass. This time of year is the only time you can get stoked for skiing that kind of terrible conditions, and as you said it, it's magical. I'm SO excited for skiing.

I am so ridiculously excited for winter, especially as this will likely be my first where i get to ski on a somewhat regular basis. I have that winter feeling in my mind right now; you know, that whole different mindset. However, the east coast doesn't feel like indulging my want for winter, it was like 78 degrees out today. I'm excited, yet nervous for the upcoming winter because there are still a few bumps to conquer before it's set in stone that I get to ski a lot, but as of right now it's looking good.

I am making the transition to skiing from snowboarding, can't wait to just be around snow. I love the feeling of the first few runs, they are magical then you just get used to it I guess. I can't wait for the season to come. I am soooo stoked for this.

half the fun of the first day on the hill is realizing it's finally back after how long you've waited for it!

I for one have not been able to ski in more than a year and a half due to various reasons, so I am unbelievably pumped to go back out there!

yeah man its contagious :P when the first snow falls i get sooo fired up and it seems everyone around is stoked too! one of the best days of the year for sure!

thats the only thing i like about not living near mountains, whenever we wanna go it's a huge deal, and when we finally get to our condo were so stoked. without fail, every time i go skiing is the new best day of my life even if it's spring slush or east coast ice
