Coming from a long time PBP fan and a huge ski movie fan in general, I was pretty disappointed. Sountrack wasn't really good at all besides a couple of segments, there was way too much urban, and there wasn't any flow to the film at all. I understand how they were trying to get back to their "banger ski porn" PBP format after Revolver's negative reviews last year, but I think they need to find a better medium.
I dunno, something about it was just off to me. I guess I'm just always expecting another EDIAS...

I could watch an entire movie of kids like leigh and clayton villa and like sammy/dane. Mose people just did a shit ton of dub flips, skiings missing something right now i think

it was pretty meh besides the bangers. miss some of the older crew they used to work with. lots of silly urban drops/creative shit... that was off the mark.

What was up at the end with replaying the park segment and liegh's segment? That kinda ruined it for me.



BUT I FUCKING LOVED THE STEPT KIDS' SEGMENT HOOLLYY FUCK THAT GOT ME STOKED FOR WEIGHT.

over all i thought it was pretty dope but i thought the intro to the movie, although relevent, was way too long. I liked how it offered more interviews thna last years films..but i wish they showed more of skiers (like dumont) out of there element and in the backcountry

A little disappointed, but not over the skiing.
The soundtrack ruined the whole movie for me, I sat at almost every song and thought it sucked balls.

Leigh powis song ruined his whole segment, I was stoked to see that since he got one of the best styles in the game imo. Someone should re-edit the whole movie with another soundtrack haha

Really dope skiing, definitely next level. But the music was pretty terrible. Not every track was bad, but the ones that were bad were....bad. I mean that god awful metal song for the intro and Loose canon playaz for Stack's seg? Are you kidding me? I really don't understand how you decide to put those songs in the flick no matter what your music taste is.

Fortunately, most of the skiing is so sick that it manages to be a good movie.

I can't believe people are being so negative on the soundtrack. I thought the only bad songs were Ager and Carlson's segs. Everything else was great.

yeah, i'm in between, i didn't think it was terrible but i didn't think it was fantastic. they've had better soundtracks in the past but from past experience i grow to enjoy the songs after listening to them a lot because it reminds me of the dope segments in the movie. like in Reasons i hated almost every song when i 1st got it. but now i have every song on my ipod and it's probs my favorite soundtrack out of every movie i own.

I'm with you 100%. I thought Grand Bizarre had an infinitely better soundtrack than Revolver, with a much better variety, and more of a consideration for how each song fit either the rider or the segment, or in many instances, both. Did I love all of the songs? No, but I didn't think the soundtrack was a negative or a subtraction from the overall movie like you guys are saying. Those being critical, what sort of soundtrack were you hoping for? Does everyone REALLY like dubstep and electronic music exclusively? I don't get it...

I'm surprised that the Yelawolf and Juelz track is getting so much hate....thought it was high energy and fit Sammy's segment really well even though it wasn't my personal favorite track or whatever. Also surprised that no one liked the Cudi track...I love that song and have since the album dropped.

I enjoyed GB. It does have some faults - some of the tunes weren't to my liking and I felt that some of the segments were either too long or too short - who else wanted to see more of the cubed halfpipe? They made such a big deal about it and its been on NS and in Freeskier and POWDER that you thought it would have more of a fanfare - and I know PBP tried to avoid the interview BS, but that was something I would've liked to hear about from the crew and Dumont just seemed a waste of such an epic set-up.

However, I won't let my personal taste in music let me not enjoy a ski film (I'll most likely watch it with different tunes playing anyway) and the skiing in it did exactly what I wanted got me stoked to get on my skis again and gave me ideas for different lines and jibs.

Personally, I enjoy a good mix-up of style and tech when it comes to skiing, but PBP has a reputation for a lot of tech park segments so by choosing to watch this I expected a lot of dubs and so forth so I wasn't disappointed by there being less of other more styled aspects of skiing. The urban segs did have tasty moments though.

The B/C stuff was enjoyable to watch too, but I think it will get blown away by Ordinary Skier and other movies.

As I have no filming/editing experience I'll leave that criticism to more knowledgeable persons. So don't hate on me for not commenting on what you or others may feel is awful or amazing.

Overall I think PBP tried something different to Revolver and it came out good - not for everyone, but still a good ski movie. I'd recommend.

I probably disliked roughly half of the sound track, the rest I don't mind or enjoy.

I wish there was more Cam Riley, the shots he did have were impressive. But the part that really bother me was that Durtschi only had about a minute and a half of shots. His segment in EDIAS was probably one of my favorites of all time, and his Revolver seggy was good too.

I haven't read any of the rest of this thread but...

I just got back. It was SICK (IMO). I LJ, Josh Stack, and Leight Powis definitely got me stoked.

Even though I've heard complaints, I thought the movie had the perfect amount of urban, and I really liked the soundtrack.

I didn't think the soundtrack was that bad second time around. Skiing was onpoint, a lot of doubles though. Leigh, LJ, Riley, Dumont, Carlson, Dane all had good parts. What kinda left me disappointed was the ender of the movie, nothing special, just a 7 hucked seven off a clip. A stronger more memorable clip should have gone there.

This was my first Poor Boyz purchase since Ski Porn. After finally buying an itunes card and watching it..... meh.

Like others have said it could have been better it could have been worse. Next time I watch it, Ill most like skip the whole first half.

i was extremely impressed. especially after  seeing all of the negative reviews in this thread and then watching it. lj's segment was absolutely ridiculous. other standouts were leigh's segment, martini's, and the few shots osakri raitenen or however you spell it had. i was very happy with it
