And I know loads of people who have them and they look like new. Point is there as durable as any other park ski out there, but people have this idea that they just break, so they go telling people not to get them even though they have never actually used them.
I really wish I had made the thread I wanted to last season. I had a pair of thalls and suspects and I wanted to show that the durability was the same on both. Never got round to it, and my thalls are beat now, so I may just do it for how my new suspects hold up.
Depends wha you like to do on them. The suspects are much stiffer so carve much better out of the park then the T-hall, there more stable at speed so bigger jumps and rails feel safer on the suspects. The Thall with the softer flex make them more playfull, so if you like to mess around more and like more urban style rails and jib features you will enjoy the thall more.
The only other thing to consider is the durability of the Thall. The new 50/50 sidewall cap makes the skis very light, but if you hit the edge hard in a cap zone it could be really hard to fix. Full sidewall skis like the suspect are much easier to put back together when things go wrong. So far my thalls have held up ok, but I know I will blow out that cap section one day, hopefully not too soon.
No.
