So Media and Arts I have a Panasonic Hmc40 and at the moment I have been using the built in mic and it isn't cutting it anymore. I have thought about getting the rode videomic or something like that but I want your guys opinion on wether or not this is good enough. I am looking to spend around $200 but if that is too low to get good audio then I could find some more $$$ so help me out!
you should check out the Zoom h4n. you'll need to get some kind of software like pluraleyes to re'link your audio and video, but the quality is really a step above mics in the same price range...
ok so what xlr mics do you recommend? do you think I should get a beachtek adapter or panasonic? and do you really think the zoom h4n would be one of the better options with a video camera because I thought those were better for a dslr setup?
