Skinning without touring bindings?

Is there possibly something to put on my original ski bindings to skin up hill so i wouldn't need to get new touring bindings?

you would have way less of a range of movement, so itd be real slow

trekkers work for a little while, but eventually you'll want to throw them against a wall.

If you can, invest in a touring binding it's worth it.

happy to help. though i do agree, trekkers are a pain in the dong and will have you looking for AT bindings pretty quickly

if you're not getting too crazy, snowshoes are a good option. a few buddies who i go out with use them and are able to keep up pretty well considering. just for one or two day trips

Don't have any personal experience, but check out the MFD:http://www.skiersrealm.com/general/mfd-alltime looks like a good in between compromise.

Otherwise I've used trekkers a fair bit, and they work just fine for slack country as long as you have extra parts.

the MFD All Time plates are the best!  beats the day wreckers and you can use them day in day out with the flat mount.
