Grocery store stories....

So i work at a local gorcery store and i cannot believe how rude people are....They are the most impatient people I have ever met.  We cannot accept 100 dollar bills(too many fakes have been given to us) at the gas station we have and its posted every where around there and the other day a lady flipped and started cusing and slamming things around.  People are unbelieveable these days

Does anyone else work at a grocery store and do u like it and have any funny stories?

i shop at grocery stores a lot and sometimes i have to pay for my groceries with $100 bills but this other day this punk kid was at the register and wouldn't let me

i worked at albertsons and remember having to go get packs of reds for a lady with a tracheotomy (sp?)

also, fuck people on welfare with their 20 welfare babies running around the place fucking shit up

I work at a pretty nice restaurant on the water in portsmouth, nh and some of the people that go there (tourists from Quebec, NJ, and NY) are massive A HOLES. I valet park sometimes. This guy and his wife from Quebec come to me after dinner and ask for me to get their car. I ask if its the cadillac cuz I forgot, he shook his head yes. I got the keys, get in the car while they stand right next to me, I pull the car out of the space, get out and hes says "thats not my car, I have the prius right here". I said "well it would have been nice if you told me that before I pulled this one out for you." He said "well maybe next time you should have better memory of which car is mine." Fuckin Canadians (at least quebecians hah)

one time my friend and i found this thing that looked like a folded up $100 dollar bill but if you unfold it you can tell that its fake cause its only half a bill. so we take this and drop it on the grocery store floor (folded so you cant tell its fake) and watched this lady pick it up. you could tell she was really excited, but she kept cool and just put it in her pocket without looking. then we follow her discretely around the store and watch her steal grapes and open a soda bottle and take a few sips before putting on the shelf again. then she reached into her pocket to peak at the bill, and she realized it was fake and then she shouted "shit" really too loud haha. wut.

My friends and I were road tripping to a comp when we were in high school. I bought this joke item called "The Lady Killer". It's a fake rubber penis that you strap on to your leg so that it hangs out below your pants, making you look like you are hung like a stallion. We walked into a local grocery store, it was winter and we were all wearing shorts. I had the Lady Killer on and it was slapping up against my knee as I walked up to the counter. The girl at the counter was shocked and almost incapable of functioning. She obviously saw it and was having a really tough time giving me correct change or even operating the cash register. We all managed to keep straight faces, which completely sold it. It was really tough to do because her face was similar to this:

I'm a $100 bill and I have been used at many grocery stores around the world but then one day the lady who currently had me tried to use me to pay for her groceries and this low-life kid refused so I possessed my owner and made her flip shit.

haha. my buddy got short changed one time in a store. he gave the cashier a $20, and the cashier didnt give him enough change claiming he only payed with a $10.

my buddy was pissed, and came up with the idea he was going to rollerblade into the store, fake trip, fall over, and take out the candy rack.

we waited about two weeks, i went in the store first, went straight to the back to grab a redbull, and he comes rolling in, stops out front of the gum rack, pretends to trip on something, and goes headfirst through the rack. fuckin gum, chocolate bars, 5 cent candies, everywhere. then just gets up and rolls out.

i would have to think long and hard about anything i have witnessed more awesome then that day.

I was in a supermarket. I was at the bakery area when some guy just came up behind me and wiped blood all over my leg. I told the manager and this guy had like 6 security guards confront him when he was paying for his stuff. turns out he had problems but still I was pissed

I don't know if anyone has said it yet, but your gas station should get one of those pens-- you write on the bill and can tell if it is fake or not--rather than not taking 100's

in canaduh we make bills that glow under ultraviolet light, makes checking for counterfits pretty darned easy.

i worked at a grocery store in upstate ny and this one time this lady was mad because i had supposedly packed her paper bags too heavy, so she poured her groceries on the floor and ripped the bag up, then commanded that i re-bag them. total power trip by some pathetic housewife. by that time i was already helping the next customer so i told her she would have to wait until i was done with him. well the lady freaks out and get my manager, after apologizing, he bagged her groceries and sent her on her way, but not before she complained about how much of her time we had wasted of course. everyone that worked there was shocked and didn't know how to respond, so we just stayed silent until she left. all the people behind her were super nice tho and one guy let me keep like 3 dollars in the change that he should have gotten, so it was all good really.

still, once you deal with the general public at a job you realize that way too many people are dumb, impatient, and apathetic towards those who worked lower wage jobs. thats why i'm super nice to everyone who serves me food or works in customer service in general. respect gets respect

My girlfriend and I were in line a month ago and two 20 ish year old black people (completely capable of working) were in front of us. Screaming at the top of their lungs about why they couldn't get "cash back on da EBT" and swearing at the very friendly local Asian store owner about how he was racist. Then they attempted to use the EBT card in the ATM. Freaked out and stormed out of the store and got in a god damn 2008 BMW. I wanted to scream myself.

stereotypes are generally based on the truth as well....a general trend not for every type of that person though. For example...this little wanna be gangster black kid about 16 years old comes into where i work the other day. Its a local fish market with a really upscale products. Kid comes in ask if we have fried chicken. We all laugh and sent him on his way. Just one of many situations i have seen stereotypes at there fullest

when i was buying my wii on boxing day, it came to like 100.10 or something like that. i gave the cashier exact change and she gives me back like 20 dollars and some random change. i just look at my brother and he says keep it. so we just left quickly. it was awesome..

What grocery store do you work at that has a fucking concealed security button? Also, why the fuck would you call security on someone with a giant dick?

I work as a cashier at a local grocery store and people are just dicks in general. The other night I had some guy come in with a raincheck for some peanut butter and he was freaking out because I had to enter each of his 24 jars of peanut butter with rainchecks individually.

Also, I fucking rage every time I see someone buy stupid shit like candy or an energy drink with foodstamps.

A lot of people are actually pretty nice though.

I work in a convenience store and yeah some people are such assholes. I can't stand people who are unemployed because they're obese or way too lazy to do anything. They have nothing else to do than pissing you off.

Often, people scream at me because the gas is too expensive. Like I'm the one who decided to make it that expensive.

But, most of the customers are super chill and nice.
