Petition to release ski movies on digital release early

Ski movies these days are waiting way to long to release their content online, leaving faithful customers extremely unsatisfied. This petition is to show ski companies they are disappointing their customers and missing out on $$$ while the hype is still high. They are also forcing consumers who depend on online content, to obtain content through torrents, because paid digital downloads/itunes is not available!. Show some support!


btw. level 1 said on their facebook that they are considering moving up thier halloween itunes release date a few weeks. lets make it happen!!!

All that I have gotten out of this thread is that 1. OP is a huge fucking troll/really dumb and 2. eheath has owned him every time.

eheath , what did i say about doing your homework? for someone that uses the internet as much as you, i seriously would recommend doing some research into digital rights and the apc. after you have done that research, why don't you come back and actually contribute some insightful and meaningful discussion to this thread instead of just getting angry and emotional.


i really don't get how I am the troll? this thread is covered with people who just bash my own opinion without actually contributing anything.

if you guys read the thread there are many who agree and feel the same way , if you choose to disagree with me, why don't you tell me WHY you think the current system is superior then the alternative I have suggested or WHAT the potential flaws are with the system i suggested. I personally think we would all benefit from ski movies being released on dvd and iTunes at the same time, and I am amazed at the amount of hate I have received for suggesting this.

ya i really do try to be a nice person, and I want to create a thread with intelligent and orderly discussion .which really is a challenge here on NS hahahah . anyways , i can deal with the hate , its just life. how do you get your ski movies? what do you think about the discussion topic??

You're still ignoring a point that eheath and I have made.

I really hate being dicks to people, but you're still acting spoiled. You said you weren't spoiled, and then you said that you'd do everything you can including stealing to get your movies before they are released.


This is why I don't like you. I support your idea of DVDs and digi copies being released at the same time. For me, it's not a big deal, I can wait if I have to.

People agree with this too, they'd all like everything to be readily available for a digital download. You're just getting hate because you are impatient and thinks that everyone should resolve around you.

If I may send this thread on a tangent....

How do people feel about the DVDs/Blu-rays including a code for a free digital copy? I buy about 4 or 5 movies a year on DVD and now Blu-ray, and I feel like it doesn't cost the movie maker any money to include a digital version for me to use when I travel and such.

If I spend $30 on a movie, should I feel entitled to a free digital version? Or should I continue to pay an additional $8 for the same movie on iTunes without complaint?

sure i agree with you maybe i am spoiled and impatient, but i am a consumer and i just want my voice to be heard. this thread has gotten over 1000 views and has gotten a lot of attention from important people in the ski industry so i consider it a success.

to clarify i am against torrenting movies and I ended up paying for EYE TRIP which was the only movie i ever tormented. i don't blame you for hating me for tormenting that movie at all, i completely understand and I am actually very very happy that the ski movie industry looks down on illegal downloads so much. I downloaded EYE TRIP last year for a party i was having and everyone was really really stoked to watch it, i would have preferred to buy it but i didn't have the option. i guess some peer pressure got to me.

also , the last thing i want is for this discussion to revolve around me, especially talking about how I'm an impatient, spoiled moron. lets talk about the discussion topic instead.

very interesting point. as a purchaser of a bluray/dvd, i defiantly think you should be entitled to a digital copy as well. I will have to send a message to some ski movie producers and get their 2 cents. If the ski movie producers want to encourage DVD sales, this would be a surefire way of doing so. Furthermore, the movie could be released on iTunes at the same time DVD s are shipped, so you wouldn't have to wait for the mail to come in to watch the movie. when the DVD arrived you would still get all the benefits of the hardcopy DVD. (bonuses, posters, stickers, tshirts ect.)

Well I"m glad you have a thick skin. I will never get used to "hate", although I'm able to ignore it a lil better than I used too.

I don't have a strong opinion on the subject being discussed. I just order hardcopies from the production companies and wait, or download them when that option is available. I already got Stept weeks ago. They were really quick getting them out. I'm not in a big hurry to see the movies tbh, because I'm waiting to see them for the 1st time at the MWSFF anyway.

i dont get it, TGR said one for the road was on itunes now, but i cant find it, just podcasts and stuff, i live in australia - is that why i cant buy it? i have already bought GB on itunes, really really dont want to wait 2 whole months till im back in canada again. and as the the topic being discussed, i pretty much refuse to buy dvds now, the $40 asking price has a tiny bit to do with it but most the fact a dvd and its case is 1/4 th size of my entire computer, and thats just annoying, digital media ftw!
 but seriously, where the fuck is one for the road on itunes?? I WANT IT NOW!!

Yeah it and a lot of movies aren't on the Australian itunes yet.

The way to get them is buy an american itunes gift card, then you can buy them off the American itunes.
