Ski Boots Help!

Hey guys,

Need some advice on getting new ski boots...

i'm coming over from Australia to Breck at the end of the year to ski for a month and need new ski boots (had terrible shinbang last year). As u probably all know, there are limited boot fitters in Aus (and the prices for boots are much higher here!).

Just wondering should i order boots online before i go (based on information on previous threads) or should i see a boot fitter as soon as i get over there????

i know from previous threads EVERYONE says definitely see a boot fitter, but the last thing i want is to see a bootfitter over there and not have my specific boot/size.

i'm 5ft 9 and weigh 175, and ski 70% all mtn and 30% park.

any help would be great!

see a bootfitter when you get to the USA. also, it really doesn't matter what type of terrain you're skiing. what matters is how aggressive you are all over the mountain.

yup get fulltilt, try a pair of fulltilt in australia and check the lenght you need with fulltilt( ex:28.5)

and then buy some used 28.5 fulltilt for really cheap

thanks guys - i'll try find a store that has full tilts in Aus - if not i'll just go to a bootfitter as soon as i get over there...

LOL just dont get fulltilts because people say. They will not necissalrily eliminate shinbang. Go to a boot fitter

If you're going to be in Breck, see a boot fitter. There are soooooo many shops in summit county, there will be at least 1 with your size and you can probably demo some too. Totally worth it. Don't buy online if you don't know exactly what you want. Also, don't listen to people when they say one boot is the right one for you. It entirely depends on the shape of your foot, what works for them may be horribly uncomfortable for you.
