So here is the story, last night i was with some friends and i set up my first keystone to shotgun. I had an empty stomach i hadn't eaten for about 6 hours. I accidentally made the hole to shotgun from a little bigger than usual but it didn't seem to matter. I shot gunned the beer and felt completely sick to my stomach. I felt as if i got up to fast and was light headed but it kept getting worse and my legs gave out and then i woke up to my friends calling my name asking if i was okay. When i woke up i was laying on my back and i felt high for a little but i snapped back into reality after about 5 seconds Does anyone know what actually happened to me i am still puzzled. I usually can chug beer fine with no consequences and feel fine but one beer just put me out for some reason last night
You had no food in your stomach? Eating is key when drinking. Think about how much fizz went into your stomach, that'll make you feel bloated and wanna toss. Then the impact of quickly absorbing the alcohol (even though it wasn't a ton, it was all that was in your stomach) would make you get all tipsy and out of it, then low blood sugar which can make people faint on its own probably contributed to you blacking out.
^all incorrect. more than likely you had syncope due to a vasovagal reaction. You chugged too hard or swallowed too hard or bore down (sort of like you are taking a shit) and stimulated the vagus nerve which shunted off blood flow to your brain, causing you to pass out.
