i run! im not really good though i just do it to stay in shape. my PR is around 20:30 so id like to get to mid 19s. kid on my team runs low 17s as a junior, hes crazy. anyone going to the ocean state meet saturday?

What were your times? Man anyone who breaks top 50 is insane. Last year for me and my first year on the team, my school is 100% making it to OFSAA it's just a matter of me making top 5 on the team or not. Right now my 5k is at like 21 minutes after not running for a long time, PR is like 19 flat. So I'm hoping to get my 7k for qualifiers down to like 27-28 minutes.

Solid dude, way better than I could do for sure. I wish I would have started in grade 9 but I was too involved in soccer and cycling. Quit soccer last year so decided grade 12 I would go for XC, but turns out our team is unreal and I need to be sick to make it in the top 5.

You could probably find your OFSAA results online, I was looking at last years senior OFSAA and theres some guy Yves Sickuwabo who ran a 21:18 7k. He's from Africa and claimed refugee status, so they don't know his age or anything so they just put him in grade 12. Xavier King who's now grade 12 is also going to be competing this year, ran a meet against him yesterday and he ran a 16 flat 5k, and apparently set the canadian record at like 15:something. Competitions gonna be tough.

You'd have to be realllllly bad to come last place. Two blind people, and a special needed guy, all competed in my meet yesterday for 5k, didn't come last. Last place for the 5k was like 32 minutes, although first was 16.

I SAW THIS GUY LAST YEAR, NUTS AS FUCK. THE LAST PART OF THE RACE WAS GOING 3/4s OF THE WAY AROUND 2 SOCCER FEILDS AND HE WAS DONE BEFORE THE NEXT GUY GOT TO THE FEILDS.

IF YOU WATCH THE VIDEO, YOU CAN HEAR THE GUY IN THE GOLFCART SAY "SPEED UP" CAUSE HE WAS CATCHING UP AT THE END.

I ran the mile in 7 flat in 3rd grade.


my best mile is just under 6. Never got faster really. But xc was a lot of fun. I fucking hate schools that just have you looping around their fucking ball fields though. I like running and hiking. Part of the fun of cross country was running through the woods in the fall in the adk's.


Also running at spac was always awesome. Never did amazing, but had a good time

I DONT KNOW THAT A MILE IS, BUT THIS.

WHERE IM FROM, EVERY SINGLE COURSE WE HAVE TO DO LIKE 2 WEIRD LAPS OF SOME PARK. BUT I RAN THIS 6K ONE TIME THAT WAS LEGIT IN THE MIDDLE OF FUCKIN NO WHERE IN THE WOODS ON A HILL, A REALLY SKETCHY PLACE TO BE RUNNING BUT IT WAS SO FUN.

i always liked the races through the woods and stuff, here in eastern washington its pretty dry and most schools courses are pretty much around ballfields and shit, but with our first coach we'd go over to the west side of the state a couple of times and run there in the woods and stuff, those races were fucking awesome

trail running is super fun, now that i've graduated ive been pretty lazy but i still get out and run in the woods for an hour or so every now and then, its so good to just go out and get lost and cruise around looking at beautiful plants and stuff

My 4k pr is 16:30, but that was when I was a little 7th grader. Then I grew and now it's around 17:58, which is pretty average and I'm ok with. It sucked going from really good to just normal though.
