the short answer is probably not, but then again you didn't give much information, i.e., what type of protein is he taking (yes there are multiple types, not just brands) and what types of creatine and types of other supplements he's on.
protein shakes are helpful because they're packed with protein obviously which is a big component in muscle repair and rebuilding. they usually also contain important amino acids and complex carbs among other things, but again that depends on exactly what he's taking. they aren't designed to replace meals, because you need a lot of additional vitamins and minerals on a daily basis that protein supplements do not provide you with. they are there only to "supplement" your regular diet. they are certainly not the answer to everything.
anyway, based on what you said, no he probably won't get ripped. it depends on what he eats on a daily basis outside of the supplements, his body type, workout style and his general lifestyle. does he drink often? what kind of workouts does he do on those 3 days? what about the other 4 days of the week?
tl:dr? ....answer is no.
