I posted this in media and arts and didn't get a single response so that's why I'm posting this here.

This is a website that I'm making. I will be posting ski movies that have been made free by their owners (such as Teddybear Crisis.) I was just wondering if you guys are interested in a website like this and if you have any suggestions. Also, I am making an edit section of the website so tell me if you want me to post your edit there.

good idea, but if its your website, please change the background to something less "flashy" and dont forget to give credits to the people who made these movies, they're already free to watch/DL so at least give them a link or something ...

Also make like a nice overview of all cool webisodes.

Make 3 tabs:
Movies, edits, webisodes.

There's so many good webi's out there, but it kinda gets messy.
Nimbus, TC, B&E, Nipwitz, Real Skifi, Strudelpack etc. It'd be cool to see them listed nicely and all that.

this is a great idea! don't forget about the euro films like http://www.aestivation.eu/ and legs of steel are going to be free i think. and make sure you give lots of credit to the filmmakers. you wouldn't want them getting pissy about posting something without permission.

Hmm, look around a bit and it looks like there's quite some sites like this out there.

Bestskimovies.com for one. A lot of stuff on there. You're gonna have to distinguish yourself by making a better site.

As I said, three catogs:
- Full movies
- Webisodes
- Edits

The biggest problem arises when it comes to edits I think. There's just SOOO many out there. Try organizing them and assigning KEYWORDS/TAGS to them so people can easily look them up.
Try putting them in different categories:
- Season edits
- Selfs edits/edits with just one rider in them
- Park edits
- Urban edits
- Pow edits
- Teasers/trailers (if those count)

After you put them in a category assign tags for the riders, what setting they're in (urban/park/pow etc.) and what company or whatever. Try being consistent, it'll really help you organize the whole thing.

Let's say there's a Ben Moxham edit (the really famous, super awesome one). Put it in EDITS -> One rider edits (maybe come up with a good name for those). Assign tags: Ben, Moxham, Park
If you'd do that with every edit out there, I reckon we could get a really nice, easy-to-browse-through database. That'd be awesome. You could probably get people to donate if it's nice. I know I would...
