hello newschoolers. i can say with honesty that for the past few years this website has provided me with much humor and fun topics to talk about on an almost daily basis. but another reason i enjoy coming on here is the somewhat supportive community that arises when someone is truly in need of some advice or help.
recently, i was reading a story (which i will link to at the bottom of this) in the buffalo news about a boy who recently killed himself due to excessive bullying from his peers. coming from a high school where one of my sisters friends did the same, it saddens me a little bit to hear of such stories whenever they arise. i have been removed from high school for upwards of over four years, but i know that a recent trend has been taking place where people are now sticking up for one another despite not being close friends, and offering support when it is needed. for all you younger guys high school can be tough for some. the social hierarchy and clicks make it tough for those outside what most consider to be normal to be accepted. by offering support for someone you see bullied and asking if they need help could go a long way. i know ive made some lifelong friends by doing so. who knows, you might just save someones life...
here is the link to the story i told you about, which includes a link to the kids "it gets better" you tube video:
