Creatine+ NO Explode= bigger stompage

just saying, that with the increase in anaerobic endurance/strength that creatine gives you, combined with the surge of energy that a preworkout gives you, you could never again compress down to a backslap on that big cliff, or power out of that backseat landing.


Thoughts?


If you buy the latest and greatest gear to make you ski better, why not spend some money on making your body better?

Creatine by itself will do shit all as with all supplements they are only needed if with exercise a high intensity training regime you don't get enough of the specific supplement in your diet..

To need creatine as a supplement you would have to a lot of high volume, high intensity, low rep strength and power work. It's useful for building muscular strength for high intensity anaerobic activities rather than muscular endurance which is usually trained for skiing.

I made a similar thread four years ago and got absolutely destroyed on here ppl crying that training ruins the sport, this isnt the olympics, you don't need to bench press a house etc

I took creatine this summer i put on a lot of muscle and strength. It helps heavy reps AND your muscle endurance, it stops your muscles from fatiguing.

Stuff is garbage, don't need it.

I used it, and defended it, for 3 years and the only advantage it has is developing a routine. You could accomplish the same thing with sugar water. It will also cause you to get lightheaded if you do anything but lift.

Honestly, bulk anaerobic power is not that crucial for skiing. I won't deny that it helps, and keeps injuries at bay, but skiing lines and stomping cliffs is more of a coordination/technique/confidence thing. Eric hjor. for instance is a pretty skinny dude, yet rips the shit out of mountains and stomps big airs. Like I said, I'm not condemning getting strong, but the way you promote this shit makes it sound like if you suck at skiing, you just need to workout until you get massive legs and then you'll be an animal, which is just not the case.

I would contend that lots of anaerobic muscle is bad for big mountain skiing. Those large muscles require too much oxygen for the hike up and are purely unneeded mass. Go look at most big mountain riders. They are either twigs or lean and muscular. There are no linebackers at the summit. Being built like a linebacker I can tell u it's an issue of oxygen. Getting down is as stated earlier, technique, confidence, and experience. For a weak or extremly thin rider.. Yes build some muscle to protect from injury but anymore than that is counterproductive.
