I hope they win too because then us Americans will feel so proud that we were able to turn that country around so they could win the Olympics. They are so lucky to have America. Although we invaded their country it will all be worth it if they win the Olympics.

yeah that'd be cool if they won. I saw the US women's soccer team win the gold in athens, GA in 96, you never know what can happen, but I don't think they can sti\op the power of the dutch. Davids kicks ass.

^Davids does kick some major ass, and so does overmars and a lot of other dutch players, but i dont think that they play very creatively. If you watched the Euro semi finals where Netherlands played... hmm... i forget who but the game where they lost, they couldnt get the ball up the field. They didnt make very many risky plays that could have possibly converted into goals. But, you never know, the dutch are a good team.

i will go nuts of iraq wins, thats my country rite there, and since they dont allow pro players in the olympics and there is a max age of 23, iraq is gonna be a contender, their youth team won a world championship not long ago.

sounds like some confusion as far as the Iraqi team goes. It wasn't Saddam that tortured them, it was his son (I forget which one, it was in a news article yesterday). Those tortures could be anything from caning on the bottom of the feet to being tied and dragged until all skin was raw and then dumped in sewage. The Iraqi's have historically had a strong team, and its good to see them doing so well, it might do wonders for general Iraqi national pride if they finish well above expectations.
