Skiing alone...

What are your thoughts on it.  I have never had to do this but this winter i have the opportunity to ski 22 days straight during break.  I dont have any friends available to come along cuz they all have work or plans or other bull to do so im probably gonna go by myself.  I figured it might suck cuz you have nobody to share your excitement with when u get super stoked about something.

I don't like riding alone, taking a few hot laps with some good tunes is way fun but in the end, skiing with friends is the best.

Skiing alone is sick as long as you know how to push yourself with no one else around to push you. I roll Lone Wolf Status most of the time, just turn your headphones up drink a lot of coffee and try to learn something new in those 22 days that you can show your friends when you regroup.

I skied alone a few times. I find i progress better when i ski alone but its still funner with friends.

I like to ride by myself sometimes so I can hit a line or go where ever on the mountain. But still doesnt beat having a good time and shredding with some friends.

for skiing backcountry/big mountain, its definitely important to have friends. Skiing park alone helps me focus a lot better and i can constantly take laps without worrying about anyone else and i don't need to take my music out, however it isn't necessarily as fun as skiing with a buddy. those are my thoughts

I don't mind skiing alone especially when I'm listening to music, then i prefer to ski alonee. I'm hoping I'll be able to ski alone more this winter cause I wasn't able to that much this past winter.

yea most of my friends arent park skiiers or well they arent good skiiers at all.  I pulled them out of gaper status but they still suck and i just bring them along for company but you're right, i think skiing alone will help me focus and not worry about my retard friend hitting "the little jumps leading up to the rails" lol i actually punched my one friend for that... but thats the kind of friends you end up with when u live in northwest jersey *sigh*

i used to ski park alone. but im done with park. i usually go with friends. but if you cant find anyone to go with just go alone.

most of the time i ski with my gf, and she loves skiing park which is fucking awesome.   My friends don't ski park at all.  They crawl around the mountain looking for groomed trails, and cry when they have to negotiate a (God forbid) natural / ungroomed trail. 

That's fine and all, i guess, but i'm not wasting a lift ticket. i'll do a lap or 2 with them then i'm doing the solo thing.

I'm all about skiing alone. The peacefulness of being out in the woods by yourself is quite nice.

I ski alone a lot. I find it relaxing and I can focus and progress more. Also I meet a bunch of new people and some of my friends I have met have been when I started out the day alone. so yes being with friends is better but being alone gives you opportunities to meet new friends and I guess progress more.

This. Skiing alone on an empty day with no one is sooo relaxing. I like both equally well, Skiing with a group is fun but it's fun to change it up and go solo.

i like to do both. skiing with friends in the park is awesome, but taking groomer laps and skiing in some powder and stuff alone and lapping the t-bar is awesome. gut yeah, i dont like skiiing park alone.

I enjoy riding park alone. I definitely push myself harder when im with my friends. Just don't drop OB alone unless you really know what your getting yourself into

every year i sluff a couple days of school and my friends cant go so i go by myself and it's really fun.. but only for a few days it doesn't beat skiing with friends

You are right -- I met one of my best friends skiing alone.

I also like skiing alone, alone. It feels good to just be free of everything once in a while.

As someone whose close friends don't ski (save one), I don't mind skiing alone.

I got used to it during ski patrol. At first I found it odd, but now its kinda normal.
Gotta say, though, thank god I had fresh remixes to listen to.

skiing alone isnt bad at all, just get set on a few goals for the day, pop on some headphones, and do what you gotta do without having to wait for anyone

i dont mind it. it depends what im doing if i want to get some new tricks done then i like going with people so i dont pussy out and then i go alone for cruzin and clearing my mind but i never mind going alone because i can jam out to my music and just think

i actually really skiing alone. Just cruising around bumpin tunes, you don't have to wait for anyone either... and its nice just cruising through the park along and just having no worries about other people. but then again i love skiing with friends and feeding off eachother and yeah.

well if anyone is skiing mt snow, stowe, or jay peak thats where im heading up to for a couple of weeks so hit me up.  gonna get myself one of those higher education passes and chill at mt snow and if jay and stowe get decent snow im heading up there cuz i have never skied pow before

i ride alone when no one else is around, but its best to rip with friends. i throw down real hard alone though.

its kinda sick to shred alone cause youre just that fucking guy. people are like "who is that? that was fucking sick, do we know that guy? should we know that guy?" and whenever you roll into a drop in for something you gotta say something fucked up to the people standing around like "hey you guys ever just chew on flavored condoms like gum?" or "learned this one in vietnam from a shaman" or "TUPAC AINT DEAD" and then stomp something fucking massive.
