So I've always skied a symmetrical, true chamber park ski.
But this season I think I'm gonna get the Halo.
Is it a good Idea to change from 2 seasons of symmetrical, true chamber skis, to rockered, non-symmetrical skis?
Would it be hard to adjust to and would it make a big difference?
If I'm not getting the Halo, I'm getting the T-hall or Lte, which is not rockered.
Thanks, and +K!
Im kinda in the same boat as you. I been riding abangs for 2 seasons. Now im switching over to some alpha 1s. Personally I don't think its really gonna be a big deal. I mean it might take a day or 2 to get used to. But we haven't skied in atleast 6 months anyways so just getting warmed up on skis is gonna take a day or 2 anyways. I don't think your even gonna notice since your not skiing 10 days on cambered getting used to them then switching to rocker
Thanks alot! good points there.
The only bad thing is that I live in a small town in Norway, and my local skishop doesn´t get the Halo. Only the T-hall (From Armada)...
And I like to kinda flex out the ski and feel how light it is etc. But I still think I´ll get the Halo from Evo though!
Yeah.. I guess if you can grab the halo but if not just take the T-Hall. Unless you really want rocker haha, I've heard its a really good park ski though.
Yea, i think the only difference you will feel is that you'll have less edge to work with for carving and banging out turns, otherwise as a park skiier you will most likely enjoy the switch to rocker. However, you will also definitely enjoy switching to thalls, even if they are not rockered, should that be your decision
i rode rossi s3's in the park all of preseason/ winter and armada alpha 2's this spring and summer at hood. i personally love riding rocker/earlyrise in the park makes surface swaps so much easier and riding in pow is a breeze. i rode abangs at hood 2 summers ago i didn't like it at all i kept on getting snowsnakes (slush grabs your ski and makes you fall) but this summer i rode my alpha 2's and didnt get one snowsnake. IMO get skis with rocker/earlyrise.
