Recommend Me Any Resort In the Europe For Some POWDER

if you're not going on season you're better off just hunting down the powder, watch meteo data and chase the storms :)

otherwise courmayeur, serre chevalier, chamonix, espace killy, zermatt, saas fee, etc....

Les sybelles is also quite fun because you have a great resort, and lots of fun inbounds and outbounds with 5 minutes hikes, not as "radical" as some other spots in the alps, but very fun, especially if you're skiing with non-freeride friends ....

^^however the alps do have some of the gnarliest/most impressive terrain ... :)

nassfeld in austria is not very big or well known, however the almost always get sick snow and the terrain is pretty gnarly! also, its fairly cheap. nightlife - not so great

Where did you find those numbers? I don't dispute that Europe gets less pow than Utah, but that little seems wrong.

I found a number that says the average annual snowfall in Chamonix is 9,6 meters (380 inches).

i got a feeling we're mixing up snowfall with snowdeck ...

for instance: 500cm snowfall could, over time, result in a 200cm snowdeck...

We don't really have powder in Europe, at least not if you compare it to North America. I was in the Alps this february, and it sucked bad. In Scandinavia we had more snow than usual, but we don't the big, steep mountains.

If you need to go to Europe, my tip is that you go to Norway, loads of snow, and awesome mountains. Not as big as in the Alps, but still nice.

the alps do actually have quite nice mountains and freeride possibilities, just last year was a real disaster....
i guess all our powder flew over to the US :(

this might not be the deepest snow ever, but it always tickles my powder senses when i see this....

I just did the season in Åre, not typically known for its POW but we had some big storms come thru this season while the more renowned resorts in france/italy went bare :D

yeah, the alps in general had a super bad season, let's hope this season compensates for it by being super sick !
right now first real snowfall is a fact and it's lookin good !

Just a random question, but if you come from the West coast US (or whereever you come from) and have lots of pow there, you could just try out something "new", then the alps are definetly a nice place to be. I am skiing here since quite some time and it never really got boring (its skiing, it will never get boring anyway, but still)

yeahhh I guess I have to think about that :D only problem is I am living in Karlsruhe which is quite a while away, I am a student so I naturally dont have that much money and I still need looooooooads of stuff for next season :P (like pants, boots, gloves, poles ;-) ) but lets see
