im perfectly happy to be in ski pimps cult. there are only smart people there except the atmosphere seems much more laid back and the topics are more interesting and thought provoking. in DL, it seems as though everybody has to be really smart and everyone looks words up in the dictionary just to decipher a post. Its all about worldy topics, not too much abstract stuff from what i know. Maybe a year ago i would have liked it. a few months ago i just thought fuck it. and thats what i did, i stopped caring about politics and what humans are doing to earth. i just dont take part in the ignorance. and that is why the DL is not right for me, please dont invite me in

see man, thats exactly what im talking about. i go to ski pimps cult, talk about interesting stuff and nobody gives a fuck about my grammar. id go to the DL and everyone would be like ' OMG you totally contradicted yourself, you cant eat jumbo shrimp.' and i just dont care. and besides, you can be educated and not care. why couldnt you be? i dont care about math but im pretty educated.

There are no right answers to the questions.
The whole purpose behind the questionairre is to get a general idea where you stand, what you believe in, and how you respond to things. That's it.

Linemaverick, you are entitled to your opinion, and if you feel that the DL is not for you, then so be it. But, don't judge the cult by some innacurate preconceived notion that you have.

Ahh, the Time Travel thread...

I'm a proud member, have been for a while. Its a nice little, cozy lair, protected by a large fire breathing dragon. People can come and intelligently discuss topics without the otherwise ardent threat of flame-wars, insipidity, ignorance, or stupidity.

I think the best thing is that people can disagree without a war starting and people actually give some consideration to others view points (even if the are diametrically opposed), and people actually can ''agree to disagree'' without any annimosity (unlike NSG often times).
