Mid level female all mountain ski help?

So I have a female friend whos been skiing for about 8 years now, 4 of which have been spent riding skiboards....i know.....but anyway she has decided to get some new "real" skis this year.  I made a few recommendations as has my wife.....problem is that our friend think we may be trying to push her into too much ski for her ability (which may be true).....shes like a level 2 skier.....about 5'9" and like 150lbs......she rides most any groomers but steers clear of the super steep stuff.....she has also been getting into some of the more tame pow/ tree stuff.......she will ride through the park but isnt spinning or grinding or any of that....tiny jumps......she def wants a twin tip and somethin wide enough to do some pow out west and such on vacations.....so any suggestions?....she wants to stay inexpensive if possible and def wants twin tips.......and shes open to anything...even guys skis....i just typically ride with girls who can hold their own and have no idea what to recommend for a mid level female skier....any help would be appreciated.

Salomon Geisha is alright, I really think you need to go longer on that one.
Salomon lady is a bit more narrow but great mid level ski.

Not twins but sound about right...

Latest Head Wild One -- they took out the metal and it's way more mellow
Elan bliss surprising handles well on groomers
K2 payback - if this was a twin, it would be my go to ski (less park).

Thanks rachy....I suggested the celebrity, Mai Thais, or TST....she thought they were above her level....then my wife's tryin to convince her to ride pandoras as an everyday like my wife does.....haha....jus don't think she's ready for that....especially comin off of skiboards...the twin tips are important though cause she does actually cruise around switch on the greens and blues on those skiboards.....plus this chick is plannin on doin a few pow trips with us this year so who knows...but I'll shoot her the suggestions....thanks!

If she isn't confident in her abilities, I'd say the celebrity is the one that is the most versitile in that bunch with easy control. The 90's were incredibly easy to control and carve really great. I'd say the tstw too... but you need to go longer with that one which may be a bit too much ski.

I really wish the paybacks were a twin. They would be really ideal in that they ski so long so it's way less intimidating.

Yeah now see when I suggested the celebs I said the 100s....I'm not sure the 90s gonna have enough float for those fresh days....have ya rode both?....how bout the pandora....like are my wife and cousin jus a fluke cause they like ridin the pandora all over?....the wife keeps tryin to convince this chick to jus get the pandora and relearn her technique....but I think it's puttin her off ya know cause she thinks it's a "pro model" pow only ski.

I've taken the 90 out in a decent amount of snow and didn't have too much of a problem. Still gave plenty of float. The 100 still turns great but you have to turn more aggressively on it. As far as an all mountain, I'm pretty sure she would prefer the 90 to the 100. As far as powder goes, it's likely that at a level 2, she isn't going to be doing crazy steeps... more like blues and stuff that gets choppy. The 90's will turn better through the chop and probably make that experience a lot more pleasant. Pandoras are awesome, but if she isn't fully confident, she is going to have some serious problems turning that ski hard in anything that isn't a perfect groomer or steeper powder run.

I'd assume that to be the best... But if you have the change, I'd have her take out the 100 as a demo and see if she can comfortably control it.

Yeah I hear ya there....funny cause my thoughts and hers as well are that coming from fat 105 length skiboards she should be able to handle a 100 underfoot but after ya factor in the length it just amplifys all that huh?

Didn't know she was on the 105 ski boards... In that case she may be fine with the 100. I'm used to most people coming from a carving ski and rolling it side to side becomes whats difficult. But if she could turn the 105, the 100 shouldn't be bad.

And at 550 new... it isn't to badly priced. If you can find last years new they should be around 400.
