I'm looking for a boot that is


very confortable
wide width
my rockwells are 96 mm if that helps.

also quick question, will a 90mm griffon schizo fit on the 96mm rockwells?

What r ur thoughts?

my mondo point is also a 28 if that helps.
i weigh around 125 or 130 pounds,

oh and Im also an advanced/expert lf that helps. I don't really ski powder but I do alot of trees. I also do park and all mountain just as much.

Before someone comes in being mean I'll tell ya what they're gonna say in a nice way....regardless they're right....look at the boot thread at the top of the page first....and then go see a fitter....it really does make all the difference.

I ride the SPK Kaos and they are wide, comfortable boots that are the perfect flex for park and the rest of the mountain. I would get fitted with them.

I'm thinking either sollys or full tilts. what does ther flex rating scae mean (1-10) compared to the flex rating?

the best boot you can buy is the boot that fits you best. Dedicate a few hours, got to a shop with a good fitter, and try on every damn boot they offer. Find the one that fits you best, has a flex you like, and be sure to account for the fact that boots contract and get a bit stiffer out in the cold.

get a boot that fits your foot perfectly. a full tilt das booter is my bootof choice. i ski back country and hit alot of cliffs but enjoy a softer boot so i got the the only boot that fit me from there company and switched out the tongues to an 8 flex. i absolutely love the feeling of these things

Like already mentioned, fit is going to be key with any boot, and the only way to tell is go try some on and see what feels right for your feet. I choose the Full Tilt First Chair. However chances are your foot isnt the same shape as mine. The Intuition liners are pretty legit though.
Anywho, go to your local shred shop, try on some boots, then go online and find some.

There is no way that both Full Tilts and SPKs fit really well. The former is made for people with narrow feet while the latter is made for people with wide feet.

Yeah 98 last and a 104?....that's like almost another whole foot to fit in there....I woulda bought it if ya said wider toebox for lotsa rails.

To be fair to the OP he said he tried solly and Full tilt. This does not mean he tried on an SPK, salomon make more boots then the SPK. Somthing like a Ghost 120, will fit even tighter then a full tilt but also have a flex that sombody who weighs more then 120lbs could ski.

With regards to the OP, your only option is going to a boot fitter. The one point I wanted to pick up on is people saying try ever boot a shop sells on. This is bad advice, if a fitter lets you do this, they clearly have no idea what there doing. When they look at your foot and leg they will be able to identify which boots would be an option for you. Then you should try about 3 of the most suitable boots on. In most cases there will not be more then about 3 suitable boots. Of these 3 hopefully 1 is fairly close and then the work of getting the boot fitted can begfin.

Not all Full Tilts are created equal: some have a stiffer flex. My Konflicts for example work really well when charging groomers.

But Full tilt are very soft when compared to more tradional boots. I have skied with the 8 and 10 tounges. I would compare the 10 tounge to something like a 100-110 in salomons flex. So for bigger guys doing big mountain stuff, a full tilt is not going to work. And dont say but seth uses them, yes he is sponsored by Full Tilt but the boot he uses is not the boot you could buy in any shop.

I wouldn't say that they are necessarily softer, instead the whole flex pattern is just completely different. It definitely takes a while to get used to it.

It is differnet thats for sure but when 10 is the stiffest they make, then it is fair to say that they are genrally softer. Anyone used top skiing in a 130 boot from any of the big manufactures will not get on with a full tilt even with the stiffest tounge. My old boss got a set of the seths, and had to drill two holes and rivot the cuff just to be able to use them. So overall Im not saying Full Tilt are bad, they just dont make stiff boots so wont work well for bigger or more aggressive skiers.

I like my ace of spades, but I'd look into SPK's.

Go try some of those on at a shop. Buying boots offline is a HUGE mistake
