There are far too many threads on here that ask(and i've done it myself), "what size jacket should i get?", "whats this companies fit like?" etc etc.
SO. I'm making this thread to maybe help you guys out a bit before cluttering up Gear Talk with sizing questions.
Here it goes.
1. Sizing is a matter of personal opinion. No one can really decide how tall you want your jacket. So if you are looking at getting new outerwear or hoodies, try on your old stuff, and decide if you want the same fit, or longer/shorter.
2. The next step would be to measure the zipper length on your currently own apparel. You can do this with a simple tape Measure.
3. Here are the website sizing charts for the main companies people ask questions about.
A. SAGA - http://www.sagaouterwear.com/gear/ Saga's sizing is different for each piece of clothing, so here is the link. click on what you are purchasing: outerwear, hoodies, etc.
B. JIBERISH - http://www.jiberish.com/sizing.cfm Jiberish has a very in depth sizing chart.
C. ORAGE - http://www.orage.com/us/tech-lab/fit/ Orage also has a very in depth sizing chart, divided into Mens, Womens, and different apparel
D. OAKLEY -
Mens
Womens
E. Moment - http://www.momentskis.com/ They have a sizing chart under each piece of apparel.
F. CLOVERONE - just recently became stoked about this company, so i thought i'd throw it in here.

4. After looking through the size charts. Take your tape measure and measure out how long those size charts say. Look in a mirror and decide if they are too long, too short, etc.
5. Also, Look at the pictures of the models on the site. That is also a very good way to get the feel of how they fit.
After you have done this, then you can think about making a thread on here about a sizing question.
But please include the following:
Height:
Weight:
Brand:
Model:
Picture:
It will help get you a fast and hopefully quality response.
Feel free to ad any links to companies i forgot.
Good luck with your shopping.
