Is there any way to delete text messages beyond recovery?

You guys probably won't be able to help me, but a simple google search didn't give me what I wanted.  Basically, I know it's possible to recover deleted text messages if you have the right tools/software.  Does anybody know any way to delete text messages so that they cant be recovered?

if you're talking about recovering the data off your phone specifically and not through the provider then all you need to do is rewrite something over where they were deleted from. as in fill your card up completely with data then erase it.

Here's an unrelated story, since everyone seems to want one...I know it wont be nearly as good as the OPS, but my car got broken into, and my phone was stolen, and it had some compromising photographs on it-- ever since then I live my life minute by minute, hour by hour, waiting for them to emerge somewhere and ruin my life.

there are ways that you can permanently delete them from the device, but unfortunately they are still stored on the server. However, contrary to what some are saying, your mom can't just call up customer service and get the text messages. It's not even almost that easy. Are they available? Yes, but you have to jump through a million fucking hoops to get them and only a small number of people at the phone company have access to that kind of data. Generally they'll only release that kind of data to LEO with a warrant. There's a special department that handles those kind of requests and they don't just hand info over easily.

This. Pretty much if you did something illegal enough that the FBI, DEA, ect. are involved then they could* get it with a warrant from your service provider.

If you are worried about someone taking your phone and physically extracing the data from it, then you have two options.

1) if its an older phone you can literally just erace your inbox. fill it up again with jibberish, delete. rince repeat. and you will write over the old data.

2) newer phones have lots of more memory and that wont always do the trick/just take to long. IF it has mini usb you can use this program.
